About Us

Spondon Cricket Club was established in 1883 and moved from the original ground in Royal Hill Road to our new fantastic facilities in Locko Road, in 2006

With some of the best views of any club in the county, we now benefit from two magnificent pitches, a purpose built two-storey pavilion and excellent training facilities.

This is the home to five senior teams. Our 1st XI having won the Derbyshire Premier League in 2007, the Jackson Cup in 2008 and 2010 aand the Premier T20 in 2010 continue to ride high in this highly competitive league.

Our junior section is the envy of many a club with around 180+ boys and girls training every week and then playing at all levels from kwik cricket up to U17s.  Many of our young players are also regular stars in the adult teams and perform well at district and county levels.

As well as achieving the accolade of a ECB Focus Club, we have Club Mark status and are regarded as one of the leading clubs in the county for developing girls' cricket.  Our girls currently represent the club at kwik, U11 and U13 age groups as well as at district and county level.

Life at Spondon Cricket Club is more than just sport.  Our spacious and relaxed pavilion, complete with well-stocked bar - is the venue for a wide range of social activities involving everyone of all ages.
